There are eight examples in the Bible that I was reading about on how God brought couples together that include: Adam and Eve (see Genesis 2:4-25), Isaac and Rebekah (see Genesis 24), Jacob and Rachel (see Genesis 29:1-30),  Moses and Zipporah (see Exodus 2:11-25),  Samson's marriage to the Philistine woman (see Judges 14),  Ruth and Boaz (see the book of Ruth),  Esther and King Xerxes (see Esther 2:1-18), and Hosea and Gomer (see Hosea 1:1-11).  I was looking at these stories to get some insight about God choosing a mate for us and I believe God showed me how everyone's stories were different but there were some similarities that we can learn from.  For example, if we look in the Bible under Genesis 2:18, God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone, I will make a helper suitable for him."                                                                                                       You should choose friends by asking God to choose your friends for you. The Bible tells us not to be joined together with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14-17); although we need to love and do right by all people, we need to be careful with who we are friends with. In order to determine if someone is a decent person, pay attention to their fruit, or their character. Whatever is stored up in their heart will show itself outwardly. (Luke 6:43-45).
